Scott Prevost has extensive experience in web and e-commerce search applications. Most recently, Dr. Prevost served as Vice President Product Management at eBay Marketplaces, where he was responsible for the end-to-end consumer buying experience on ebay.com and eBay's global sites. Prior to eBay, he served as General Manager for the Powerset team at Microsoft, where he managed development and program management teams responsible for core search features on bing.com. Powerset was a semantic search startup that was acquired by Microsoft in 2008. Earlier in his career, Dr. Prevost founded a company that built conversational speech interfaces for customer service tasks, with clients such as Sprint PCS.
Dr. Prevost's educational background includes a BS in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon, MSE and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania (with a specialty in spoken conversational systems), and a post-doctoral fellowship at the MIT Media Lab.
Lukas founded CrowdFlower in 2009 - a data enrichment platform to help companies collect, cleand and label their data at scale with an on-demand workforce.
Prior to CrowdFlower, Lukas was a senior scientist within the Ranking and Management Team at Powerset, Inc., acquired by Microsoft in 2008. He led the Search Relevance Team for Yahoo! Japan after graduating from Stanford University with a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Computer Science.
